Privacy Policy
MicDrop records audio only when you start recording or Live Mic. Recorded takes are stored locally on your Android device and can be sent to your paired MicDrop desktop engine when you choose, or automatically if Auto Send is enabled.
Information MicDrop handles
MicDrop may handle audio recordings, take metadata, desktop names, desktop IDs, pairing tokens, IP addresses, route diagnostics, transfer status, file metadata, preferences, and error messages needed for pairing, transfer, and troubleshooting.
How information is used
Information is used for app functionality: recording takes, managing local files, pairing with your desktop, transferring audio, showing Live Mic status, and diagnosing connection issues.
Sharing and transfer
Audio files and metadata stay on your device unless you send them to your paired desktop. MicDrop does not include advertising SDKs and does not sell user data.
Live Mic
Live Mic streams microphone audio to your paired desktop while an active session is running. The Android app shows a foreground notification while Live Mic is active.
Retention and deletion
You can delete takes in the app. Pairing data and preferences remain on your device until changed or the app is uninstalled.
Security note
MicDrop is designed for local desktop workflows. Production deployments should use secure transport for desktop pairing, upload, and Live Mic control.
